Thanks for the great game, I already bought elite to help support development. I really want to see this with the story lines when they're ready.
My platform: tf 101 Honeycomb, running prime 1.7 rom. I just installed cyber knight elite yesterday.
Possible bugs/issues 1) Auto follow does not work consistently. It appears as though when I first enter a section of the map, auto follow is not on. But if I go into a menu, or a battle, when I exit, auto follow is working. I don't believe this is desired behavior. Disable follow scrolling is NOT checked.
Requests: 1) Perhaps this is only applicable for tablets, I'm not playing this on my phone. But the map screen definitely could show most of the map instead of skipping around section by section. At least on a 10.1 screen. I could see how the limited view currently there would be needed for phone screens. Just a suggestion.
2) Accuracy balance. Maybe I haven't played far enough, but i've yet to find a better pistol than the one I started with. The accuracy of 6, vs everything else that's under 3, I just can't see why I'd use any other pistol, despite the greater stopping power. Perhaps I just haven't gotten far enough.
Anyway thanks for a great game, hope my comments and minor bug report help with dev.

I'm testing on the 10.1 honeycomb as well.
Is anyone else having the follow report mentioned in the OP?
Follow does look different on a larger screen because the 0.3.1+ engine is using a center-on-follow which is automatically engaged / disengaged by the scroll touch handler.
I spent about 10 minutes trying to recreate on many devices, couldn't get it. Any details?
Starting pistol doesn't have the Mass/Penetration to put down armored targets. We're definitely still working on the equipment.

Ok, so I played around with it a little more, and I think perhaps I misreported, however it might be more an enhancement. A lot of times when traveling, I will drag to a different part of the screen to target where I want to go. What would be nice, is to have an option, that once I've have touched the screen to target a location, that auto follow is turned on. So in the end, not really a bug, but I had fallen so in the habit of moving that way I hadn't noticed exactly what I was doing. I know - terrible beta bug reporting (Ex professional coder myself) now in management. So that's my excuse I forgot how to do anything practical.

I see what you mean now. I will see if I can come up with something that looks good in that situation.
I need to work on using the spot navigation more -- I have been Long Pressing the blue arrow and using the map too much =)

No worries they promoted Andrew to a management position a few months ago and he is showing the signs as well.
I worry that in a few years he'll only be able to use Excel.

So a little more info... If I am in the map, and chose a shop for a destination, I am sometimes auto follow is on, sometimes it isn't. Also when I tap the second time, sometimes the screen centers to my character, sometimes it doesn't. However, after running about 7 or 8 tests, trying different permutations of , was character on screen when I entered map, character not on screen, was auto follow working, or not. I can't get a consistent set of behaviors.
Starting with character off the screen: I have had return to navigation both centered on my character, or where the screen was when I hit the map button. When it does center on my character, I've had both the auto follow work, and it not work. In none of the above cases was I near a border of the map cell. Ie, any move my character made would auto-scroll one square because I am not too close to the edge.
I can confirm it's inconsistent since I just ran a bunch of test back to back, and did not get identical results. Maybe I'm testing the wrong conditions? Are there other items that might affect auto scroll behavior?
I have been using 3 items to look at. 1) Is auto scroll on 2) if off for what ever reason is my character currently visible when I go to map screen 3) Am I near an edge where autoscroll may have no work to do depending on which direction I move.

have you used the button that "centers and resumes follow"
it is located to the left of the zoom bar.
that helps correct any "stop follow" commands you create by touching the screen or scrolling the view.
I cannot really find any "inconsistencies" maybe it does not work the way everyone expects, and we're definitely working to make it more intuitive. I am trying to follow the reports but keeping in mind that it doesn't use any random generators or anything, there is some form of touch input that is ending the follow action.
Anyway, much room for improvement in the touch map, that's for sure! wow, lots to do =)
