I am playing a female 2 gunslinger. I am armed with 2 Ares Gamma Mk 4 Blasters. They are AP:3 weapons.
I have 4 AP. I aim. (1 AP) then I dual-shot (4AP). Low and behold, I see the HUD saying I have -1 AP.
Is the intent to let gunslingers aim @ dual shot for 4 AP? If so, the HUD is wrong ... or is the intent that aiming takes 1 AP in addition to the dual shooting? -- which is how it works when I have 5 or more AP, I lose 5 -- in which case gunslingers with 4 AP who have chosen to aim should have the "dual shot" button go grey on them.
p.s. dualshooting ares gamma Mk4 blasters is a lot of fun.

grävling - great catch, this was a lingering issue for all special talents. If you did something that took AP, they would not update their state (enabled / disabled) based on yoru new AP count. In this case, the Dual Shot button will now disable after you Aim.

In this case, the Dual Shot button will now disable after you Aim. This is not fixed. (I am assuming because you say 'was' and not 'is' you thought you fixed it.) New baby gunslinger with 5 AP naturally can take one step diagonally away from an enemy hund, now has 4 AP, and can both aim and dual-shoot, which requires 5 in total. HUD AP goes to -1 after the shot.

Would help to call the function that resets the buttons.
Fixed for next.

Still not the correct logic.
I am a gunslinger with 8AP. I dualshot an opponent (ganger shooter, not boss). Kill him dead. Now I have 4 AP left. The dualshot button does not go away. I tap it again. I see the opponent rematerialise, and then die again. When the round is over, I have 3 AP left. Thus 'dualshot' is not 'spend 4 AP' but 'spend +1 AP', and if you get multiple dual shots in each one will cost you 1 AP (after the first). I spent 4 AP for my first dualshot and 1 for the redundant bullet sent into the corpse.
That the dual shot button can be pressed if you have killed your opponent is just a bug.
But there is something else inconsistent about the logic.
I am a gunslinger with 8AP. I dualshot an opponent (ganger shooter, not boss). Miss utterly. Now I have 4 AP left. Dual shot is still available to tap. I do so. I kill my opponent dead, and now I have 3 AP (4 for the initial dual shot +1 for the second one) left. Same as the first scenario, but this time the second dualshot was not wasted.
I am a gunslinger with 7AP. I dual shot an opponent (ganger shooter, not boss). Miss utterly. Now I have 3 AP left. Dual shot is no longer available to tap.
So, whether or not the button is greyed out is a function of whether or not I have 4 or more AP left over after I do my first shot, but using the second dualshot only costs me 1 AP more. Either every dualshot tap should cost 4 AP, or the button should read '+1' and 7 AP shooters who do not kill their targets with the first dualshot should also have the possibility to dualshoot them again, or possibly, you are limited to one dualshot no matter how many AP you have ...

Reverted the changes that caused so many bugs here. Back to the original ticket that a Gunslinger can Aim + Dual Shot = negative AP.
