Hello I purchsed this from Amazon.
But I can not use the ship designer.
It says I have to purchase the elite version first.
But I thought the Amazon version is the Elite version?

Hey there Asanda,
The ship designer is actually an additional IAP that is purchased separately from the Elite version. I personally recommend it because a) it's nice to be able to make your own ships and b) more support for the brothers!
However, you aren't missing out on anything really necessary by not having it, so don't feel left out. It's a nice little extra but there are tons and tons of ships built into the game.

Where does it say you have to "purchase the Elite version first" in Star Traders?
Maybe I have a typo or a bug of some type that I could fix to help make this more clear.

I purchsed the Elite version during Amazons free game of the day special. When I start the game it also says that it's the elite version. But when I try to create a new ship in a station for example. It says i have to upgrade first. @asanda - it looks like there may be an issue with the screens that are shown in the case of Elite vs. Free. The solution is to click "Game Store" in the top bar, and purchase the Ship Designer ($1). Hope that helps!

@asanda - yes, that is correct. It is only available in Elite, but is a $1 IAP.
