Do you bank talents with certain characters/builds when leveling up and how do you feel about it?

When I'm close to a key level (12 or 18), I certainly bank a couple of talent points. Also, in anticipation of the level, I tend to throw some of the other points (skills/attributes) into the thing that benefits that level 12 or level 18 talent.
By level 18, my character has a nice basic shape anyway, so I can afford to hold off injecting more into stats that have already had some input.

I don't use it on any of my builds.

Many of my builds start out with the intention of banking a few points. For example my Kinetic Energy build- Kincaid had originally banked 3 points for Storm of Steel, but I was weak and spent two of them to get Live by the Blade up to another mp. Then when he reached 18, he was able to put a full 3 points into SoS, where it stays now in the CoD.
Being able to bank points means your character is either performing better than their level, and is therefore able to be patient with point allocation, or you have a specific purpose for that character; ie banking points for DI, or if you want Fyona to use Battlefield Devotion as a main heal.
It all boils down to your strategy- sometimes you don't need to bank points, like if you're running a character who isn't planning in running a level 12 or 18 talent as their cornerstone. Like Vraes not planning to use Juggernaut in the end game. Cases like these, point banking just becomes unnecessary, as those points are better spent immediately on talents you are already leveling.
Another major reason I bank talent points is to give an important skill a major boost once it becomes available, such as Quicksilver Defense, or Meteoric Shockwave. These talents aren't very effective at their first level, so saving a few points to make them more effective is something I do all the time.

I usually park a point or two before opening of a new talent tier. Because using 1-point talents usually don't tell whole story, and generally just a waste of AP/SP.

I am often willing to bank up to 1-2 Talent points on 1-2 characters on the approach of amazing talents (Quicksilver Defense, Deadly Intuition). This is risky in Nightmare, as the whole group is weaker and during this critical time you've got to be extra careful.

It's occasionally useful since the gain from a talent level up doesn't always justify the i creased SP cost, but it does so at later levels.
My nightmare group works surprisingly well though with healing talents and most weapon attacks left at 1.

Funny enough I used to be a fan of banking in between EA's milestones, but no longer, I just keep dropping points into it for the increased -dodge and -acc

Banking for already known talent doesn't make any sense to me.

Banking for already known talent doesn't make any sense to me. Well some talents, like sacrifice, don't really get a boost on some levels. Like sac 3 is basically the same thing as sac2 but uses more SP per use. So saving a point to skip sac 3 and go straight to 4 would make sense.

I only save one if I'm nearing a new skill unlock.

I usually bank points when I'm close to those key skills that I really want in order to pump them up to the level I want them at right off the bat. In fact, I routinely bank skill points for certain builds. I genetally try to keep focused on 2 or 3 main skills for a build, so if one of those skills is unlocked at level 12 then I'll typically bank points starting at about level 9 or 10.

I've toyed with the idea, especially as my group approaches level 18. My hard group is currently level 15 having beaten the gatehouse fight, and I did save up a couple of levels worth of points already - but then I thought, surviving now is more important than saving for the future, so I spent them on CA and DI. I will save at least one levels worth before I hit level 18, but on the whole, I don't care
