Having played quite a bit with Faces and Hunders (Hard/Crazy), I have to agree. My Face on Hard had a rediculously hard time Negotiating in basic gangland territory until she reached at least 5 in Negotiate, and even then wasn't consistent in gangland until it reached 8+. My Hunder on Crazy specialized in Threatening, but after all the failures of my Face I barely bothered with those mission types for a while. I did surveillence and ran into contributor's dilemma, which forced me to level my Stealth/Perception even though I had a larger team so I wouldn't waste points on an attribute I wouldn't otherwise be using (I didn't need intelligence, but having Stealth helps in combat at least). I have Stealth and Perception closer to level 10 each and still consistently fail in gangland, same with threats. All my CKs can do consistently are killing people, smuggling people (aaahhh nerfed!!) and delivering dirty magazines to gang leaders who will probably try to kill my Knights afterwards (as if we care what we delivered!).

Thanks all for the feedback,
1) Fixed the stat mismatch between Surveillance jobs, big teams, and Evo-Rigged Hunds. You're best to line up a big team of Hunds, with Evo-Rig and the sense-net, and use the big-team action in the Encounter. Should be killer.
2) I found some glaring mistakes in the use of the Encounter testing API in both Threaten and Encounter. Fields switched -- things that should have been passed in as bonuses being passed in as penalties, etc. Pretty nasty, no wonder these were very hard. Resolved for next and will wait for feedback from the field.

I've been wandering around town doing threaten jobs for Skull. My natural Mind is the same as my Body is the same as my Strength is the same as my Perception -- (first all 6 then all 7). I am a hunder, with an evo-sense network and with 3 snarling evo-rigged hunds at my side. I get a plus 2 bonus on my mind because I have the fancier evo rig.
The 'Get Physical' -- Strength and Intimidate option is going very well for me. It doesn't always succeed, but it does 'close to always'. sweet. However, the 'Threaten' -- Mind and Intimidate is still giving me nothing but goose eggs. Tried 12 times, failed 12 times. Maybe there is something still wrong with that formula ?

I will take another look and wait for other feedback from the crew.

The man who has a debt encounter -- I've been unsuccessfully using the 'Strength + Intimidate' option. It's a pretty rare encounter, though, so I don't have enough data to have an opinion on whether I think there is something wrong in this calculation or not.

Downloading the update now. I should be able to find a little time to do some testing. However, before the update I was up to 11 mind and 17 intimidate and at that point I suddenly started to get consistent using the "threaten" option for Threaten missions. So now I don't know how much I'll be able to contrast the two systems. I'm really looking forward to getting in on the surveillance missions. I really love those +5k payouts.

So far I'm 4 for 5 using "Threaten" but like I said that was already becoming pretty reliable. I'm working my way up with Yakuza right now and can't seem to find any Surveillance jobs with them. grävling do you know where to get those? Otherwise, I love my team though. We just pulled off two Capture missions in Yakashima core without taking any damage. On one of them I somehow managed to have 0 rep loss as well. That's a smooth 5k.

Well, I only found one surveillance mission so far. It was a whopping 3 location job against Aztek for 16k. Failed the first one. Will start doing more testing though now that I got my Kuza safe house.

Rarely from the Yakuza Gambling Den. Rarely from Benico in the VIP lounge. Sometimes from the Boston Morgue.

Instead of the mk21 bounty i highly recomend the M21 Assault rifle its a little less expensive for the same power and penetration... the trade off is it cost 5 ap instead of 4 but it has twice the speed... it is the weapon of choice for my MnB gunslinger i can rip through blue shirts with ease... they are availible at the Self-Defense Store in Boston Core

Getting better at Mind made the Mind and Intimidate start working, about as well as the Str and Intimidate option ...

Has anyone tried firing their Hunder at a 45 degree angle, you get good range that way
