I like the background sounds when I'm exploring (dripping water, insects, city noises, whatever) but I get tired of the battle music. I'd love it if I could turn off only the music. Maybe the ambient background noise could be linked with the other mute button instead of the mute music button.

Same here, it ought to be one toggle for sounds and one for music. Eventually more songs will be added and help. But even so, some battles are literally over an hour long and even if there were a dozen songs it could start to get weary, music and sound should have separate options.

Both Heroes of Steel RPG and Star Traders 4X have two different toggles -- one for sounds, one for music.
I can see the desire for an option to turn of "Battle Music" and we'll talk about our ability to add this!

Or add like 20 new song loops so we get some variety

Cory Trese The issue for me is that the toggle for music also turns off the ambient sounds which I don't consider to be music. The only music in the game is the music on the start page and the battle music. I think the ambient sounds fall more in the category of sound effects and should be linked to that toggle instead of the music toggle.

Thanks for the feedback! We'll keep working on it, but there are many unseen limitations that we have to balance.
