It might be interesting to have missions where you are ordered to hunt down other cyber knights (not pvp) at their safehouses. A set of up to 3 random security measures will be overcome before you actually get to kill the competition.
I have a couple ideas for the security measures listed below.
1 Hund kennel: a motion sensor is within range and you can tell it releases the hunds in the cages. You can try to hack it before trying to get past, override a nearby electrical panel, or run past them before they get to you.
2 explosives: landmines have been placed very well, unfortunately for you they are camouflaged very well. You can defuse them or try to get through without stepping on them.

crackshotcerberus - very awesome idea! Something I've stashed onto the roadmap for now.

If anyone else has ideas i would enjoy seeing them, i am not too creative myself. In addition then I'd like to add those additions to my own safehouse and beat out new contacts, paydata and extra credits out of enemy cyber knights. WIN!

If anyone else has ideas i would enjoy seeing them, i am not too creative myself. Could have fooled me. Ok, current law most places prevents you from installing booby traps all over your properties. The risk of accidentally blowing up your neighbours, and especially your neighbours kids and pets is deemed too extreme. I was reading a while ago where somebody, suspecting a thief in his office rigged his desk drawer to blast any intruder with some sort of indelible paint. The blast would only happen if somebody tried to open the drawer with something other than the official key (which he had). Then he spread the world that he was leaving his valuable camera in the drawer while he went to lunch and a meeting across town. (He took his camera with him.) BOOM. One thief identified. Problem was that there was nothing that he could charge the thief with, while the thief was able to sue him for bodily harm and I forget what else, and thus he ended up the loser in court. sigh. But in the NBZ, it is clear that lethality is the norm. I don't see laws against booby traps being enforced there. I've always liked cauldrons of boiling oil/moulten lead that the defenders of a castle can pour on the attackers. Also passageways that burst into flame.

If anyone else has ideas i would enjoy seeing them, i am not too creative myself. Being a Yankee fan I would like to be able to raid Fenway Park Maybe there can be a mission off of Old Kenmore out to the stadium where I can kill everyone on the team. Another Boston flavor would be to have an encounter with rude staff like at Durgin Park. Cyber Knight gets food, gets treated rudely, has to decide how to handle the encounter - avoid, threaten, kill, etc.

EMP field... the enemy cyber knight has installed a tuned emp field generator that cannot be hacked u can either
a) ignore the field and move on anyway... u will not take damage nor will u alert and guardians... however your implants and the implants of your runners/allies will not apply to any rolls for the remainder of the encounter (combat not included as it takes place outside atm)
b) use a phracking kit or another soon to be imagined equipment to attempt to find the specific EM frequency... if u succede u gain xp and what not and move on to the next obstical as normal with all implants functional... if u fail u can suffer mp damage and/or wake any gyardians or it will simply apply option a
I know its not exactly how the science behind emp fields works, but close enough XD

I do not believe option a is possible.

Maybe add in a HULK SMASH option? Basically take a fist or gun and destroy the circuitry behind the panel, ripping out wires until the field drops. Downsides being time wasted, possible electrocution if your strength skill is low, or setting alarms off instead.

Great ideas, maybe have a simple motion detecor/alarm set up that, if triggered, alerts the target and allows for a clean escape or increased threat from extra goons?

I had another idea for it, a room full of drones.
A) try to rewire them to short circuit when weapons are activated. If it works the drones will all destroy themselves when you try to leave the room. If it doesn't one of them detonates and the others attack.
B) smash them to pieces. If it works you oonly fight one drone. If it doesn't you begin the normal encounter.
C) hack them so they don't respond to commands. If it works there is no combat encounter. If it doesn't then...well isn't it obvious?
D) sneak past them. If it works the drones don't chase you down when you leave the room. If it fails they join the knight during the encounter.
