Background:
Poor old Cibi started a fight right next to a Predator Drone. Who had initiative on everybody! Ow! Cibi takes damage.
My knight decided that anybody with a set of Cyberclaws, Brawling skill of 8, and 11 AP should be able to finish off a Predator Drone without any help from my Rifle, so took care of other enemies. This was wrong. The dice gods had it in for Cibi that day, and all she could manage to do was MP damage. Again, and again, and again. So the Drone lived to the next round, where again Cibi took damage, and this time she could finish the drone off with her shock glove -- as by this time his MP was lower than his HP ...
This makes me a little unhappy that the dice gods get so much of a say in things. If the combat blades were tweaked so that they automatically went after whatever opponent stat was weaker -- HP or MP -- they would be even cooler weapons. It wouldn't have to be -- indeed probably shouldn't be -- a 100% thing. Even if all you are trying to do is physically damage something, you are likely to also inflict mental anguish, (or however these things work). And, of course, any time you stick some metal into somebody you will do physical damage ...
But the idea is that the Knight or Runner should have a bit more control over how the damage is dealt.

I added #CK-2983 to investigate the dice rolls.
