Actually fallen has said numerous times that you can go back to the Keep and do those levels later if you want. I've never tried it, but I don't think you lose that opportunity. Just go back to the top of the Kern's End map where you originally went to the war camp and you will go directly to the keep again. At least that's how it's supposed to work.

Just return to Red Hill and then to the Command Tent and ask Barnett about it. You do not lose access to the Store Rooms.
Next release includes an extra warning about the heightened difficulty, to the tune of "these aren't the Ratkin we fought at Oskahold."

Ok, sorry for misinformation. >.> I apparently confused it with a different part of the story. P.S. Don't forget to pay a visit to the crypt of the Silver Cohort before leaving for Riven Field.

How about "Toto I don't think we're in Kansas anymore" I had the exact same thought as I was reading this thread. You beat me to it.

anrdaemon perhaps you were thinking of Oskahold? In ep 1 once you leave the Torrent Watershed and climb up to Kern's Hollow you can no longer backtrack to Oskahold.

Which is the Silver Cohort mission? I don't know if I've done this I've yet... Is this involving the Crypt in the Warm Cave? If so how do you do it?

En1gma Yes, the Silver Cohort piece is the crypts. There are two in the Warm Cave; if you visit them before defeating the Shamen you sense that their souls are uneasy because Oskahold is in danger. If you return after defeating the Shamen, or visit for the first time after defeating the Shamen, then you are told that their souls are at peace because Oskahold is safe and you earn some XP. There is a third crypt in the Vermin Warren (I think) down towards the bottom left corner of the map that belings to Captain Lukai. I think you also get some XP for dropping by here too.

fallen, is there any mention of how to finish the Silver Cohort in the text given in the game? In all the groups I've played, I never knew how to finish out that aspect of the story. Thanks to bobc for explaining how to finish out the quest!

Thanks to bobc for explaining how to finish out the quest! Just a foreword, the order that I do E1A1 is, clear everything west first, then farms, then the vault. When I do this the game basically says revisit the tomb after Oskahold is safe. So when the shaman is dead the quest log changes. I feel it's clear enough.
