About every two months I open Star Traders 4X Empires on my iPhone and try to make progress in the game. I think I've tried maybe about 6 times so far but end up closing the app only moments later.
I'd given up hope of ever moving forward as I did not want to take the time to do what I am doing now; asking on the forum for help.
For some reason I'd not yet deleted it and seeing the recent update I thought perhaps maybe some new helper, info, or insight would get me past this difficult obstacle, nay impasse, in which I have found myself.
So, please, tell me. What do I do here?
An Advisor (Templar Advisor), a woman in a tight purple jump suit, is telling me, "We have no Colonies. We must land our Hive Ships and begin to explore this Quadrant."
There are 6 ships in a two angled row formation. I can move ships in different directions but have not yet been able to colonize anything anywhere. Some are out of fuel and others don't seem to do anything. If I tap a planet, or whatever those things are, I just get a popup screen with no options other than to close.
Advise?

Hey there Markz. Colonizing is done using your hive ships, they are the vaguely hammer shaped ships. Move 'em next to a planet, tap the blue "colonize" button that is in the lower right corner of your screen, then tap on the planet you wish to colonize. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions please ask them!

Ohhh!!! "Next to"! Was that stated somewhere and I just never saw it?
Thank you fallen, Cory, and John.

markz - whenever you tap on a Talent (Colonize, Explore, Barrage) a blue selector will appear on the screen. This indicates the valid range for the Talent. You'll notice that Colonize and Explore have small selectors, indicating only adjacent squares ... so "Next To" is critical

No worries, markz, we all have those moments. I can't tell you how long it took me to figure out how to reload the autoloader in cyberknights, haha.
