First off, hello all! First post and thrilled to be here.
Ok, down to business.
As the subject likely implies I would like a better description of how the stats and skills work. I know they effect XP costs for raising stats/skills and such but as it relates to combat as well as weapon stat values.

I believe it's either strength or athletics or some strange combination of the two.

It's athletics for how far you can move in combat.
