Water Fuel

Something I remember from STRPG was that you could still move when you ran out of fuel because of crew going and EVAing to chip ice off the hull at the risk of losing crew.
It appears that my ships can move when they have run out of fuel, is this a bug, a nod to the above, or something I just haven't noticed? (Eg. Me reading bars wrong :/)
If their is a penalty for this in 4X that I have missed, what is it? If not it would be neat to have this bit of lore from STRPG represented in some way.

@boookworm21 - in both games, you can continue to move when you are out of WF. In ST RPG, you're generally loosing crew and morale, while in 4X Empires, you're limited on the talents and operations the ship can perform.

Yeah that makes sense now, got confused when my fighters could still act like normal (they only had the standard barrage)! Is there a way of seeing WF consumption in red/green/yellow areas? That is, without the need for experimentation. Thanks

Green and yellow areas cost 0 WF to fly in.I believe red areas cost 2 WF to fly in.
