I decided to save my skill talent for Vraes and used one on Tears for Kyera to keep Vraes in one piece. fallen, I do have a question and a bug, just want to confirm-- I checked the hell out of the pillaged caravan and found no notes. I still had the option of asking Strom about the trade papers we DID find (according to the text, but I never found them, definite bug). So 2 bugs: 1: I did not have the papers and the party confirmed it talking to Lady Strom, but I still had the option of acting as if I DID have the papers in the following dialogue option about the papers. 2: I remember the papers being on one of the ravaged caravans. I tapped the hell out of them and found no papers whatsoever. Should there have been papers nearby?

Officer Genious - as you approach the caravans, the story event fires and you find the caravan. In previous release, you had to tap a wagon, but that was problematic and fixed. Sounds like you approached the wagons (near enough to tap will do it) and then went back to Strom and completed the quest. Great work!

fallen- Cool! I'm good on that at least! But why do I have the option to talk about the papers I found when my party told Strom they didn't find it? On less cool news, I had my first death-- despite 6 points in constitution, 16 light armor and having 3/4 of her health, three green spiders simply ate Kyera alive in one turn. Sigh. Dammit Kyera. Right after I beat up the fort shaman too.

Officer Genious - that is an ordering bug, which is already in our roadmap to fix. You went and found the papers before talking to her the first time.

Officer Genious - ok, then I am not sure. If you can provide a full run down of 1, 2, 3 of where and when you went places, and in the specific order I can try to help. At the moment, I've chalked it up to the known ordering bug which needs to be fixed.

Officer Genious, the papers are in a nearby cave. Did you see some stairs down near the caravan? You've got to go in there, clear it out and find a chest that is left by the caravaneers.

En1gma I would say crippling strikes over storm of steel and keep Selen all melee. Kincaid and Selen should only invest in Dex and blades until each hits 16 I have written so many times why I don't like COD... It's not up at the beginning of battle, which means you are screwed if you don't win stealth roll and are relying on it. It only benefits one character and it has to connect once every 2 turns. I only find it logical to take 1 pt in it early and then max out SOC before looking at it ever again

Okay, I'm jumping back in after being distracted by ST4X and Cory Trese brought up a good point. If I have issues with Vince's SP drain, should I use Kyera's Sacrifice Talent? If I do, she'll have less to spend on Ethereal Anguish, to which I ask how do you deal with 3 AP enemies before you get -2AP skills? I'm simply not far enough to have Vince as a sole spellcaster, so I'm curious to know how others dealt with 3AP enemies.

Bolster defenses. Even taking a single AP away from an enemy will drastically reduce the damage any one enemy can deal. Don't feel like you need to bring every enemy you fight down to a single AP, as much of the time you will either block the hit or kill the enemy outright. Remember you're on Normal- enemies are MUCH more forgiving than they are on higher difficulties. I have run tons of effective groups where I only run Pinning Shot as my AP debuff, not using any others- to great effect.
Sacrifice is one talent that is too good to miss. I wouldn't ever bring it past level 2, as at max Lore, it restores 50 SP, and can be used for 1 AP.

So 2 bugs: 1: I did not have the papers and the party confirmed it talking to Lady Strom, but I still had the option of acting as if I DID have the papers in the following dialogue option about the papers.... fallenDid I miss the response to this reported bug? Is it a bug? It confused me on this run through because I returned to Oskahold to get some gear before going into the hole (I haven't been in Oskahold in months, since my first play through). I hadn't yet picked up the papers, but decided to talk to Strom for the reward before returning to get them. Since the option showed up for the papers and I didn't want to end the quest prematurely, I immediately quit the game without allowing it to save. Now, of course, I need to go find more gold if I want to upgrade some gear. That doesn't bother me, but the confusion over the papers does. What's the recommended course of action here and, does it end the quest if I talk to Strom before collecting the papers (and does that even matter)? Thanks.
