... fallen, I do have a question and a bug, just want to confirm-- I checked the hell out of the pillaged caravan and found no notes. I still had the option of asking Strom about the trade papers we DID find (according to the text, but I never found them, definite bug). So 2 bugs: 1: I did not have the papers and the party confirmed it talking to Lady Strom, but I still had the option of acting as if I DID have the papers in the following dialogue option about the papers.... Did I miss the response to this reported bug? Is it a bug? It confused me on this run through because I returned to Oskahold to get some gear before going into the hole (I haven't been in Oskahold in months, since my first play through). I hadn't yet picked up the papers, but decided to talk to Strom for the reward before returning to get them. Since the option showed up for the papers and I didn't want to end the quest prematurely, I immediately quit the game without allowing it to save. Now, of course, I need to go find more gold if I want to upgrade some gear. That doesn't bother me, but the confusion over the papers does. What's the recommended course of action here and, does it end the quest if I talk to Strom before collecting the papers (and does that even matter)? Thanks. This is news to me. Can you please detail the order of events that led you here? |

I'll give you a summary as I'm short on time. Unfortunately, I'm going by memory as the game cannot be readily saved and loaded at specific places, as you well know. It would take me hours to get back to that point. - Talk to Lady Strom when you first get into Oskahold and get the caravan quest.
- Go find the caravan, but do not go get the papers (don't go down the hole).
- Go back to Strom and tell her you found the caravan, but didn't find anything else.
- She gives you your reward.
- Speak with her more and on the last dialog choice (I think), she talks about the papers you recovered. I don't remember the specific wording.
Officer Genious posted the problem back in March, but it looked like you missed the report. You may want to search for another mention because it seems like I read something else about it when I was searching, but I cannot be certain. |

Trasd - at the time of Officer Genious' post, IIRC, I fixed the bug. It looks like there may be a case in which it is still not working properly. I will investigate under #HOS-3173.

- Heroes of Steel Elite 4.1.23
- All IAP except respec

same issue for me, did not go into hole (forgot from my last run), went back to heal in osk, had conversation with the lady, she gave 500 reward, then there was an option for a conversation on the "papers we returned with". I then went back down hole and recovered the caravan goods, and returned them, then followed the conversation.
