ntsheep, would you care to add this thread to your list of best derailed ones? From a simple question on unlocks in a space trading sim, to synchronised free falling elephants. Amazing.

I. A doomed attempt to get this thread back on track - does the game manual state that you must go to the hall of records and press "record" to actually get any awards. If it is in there, please could it be made more prominent? Thanks - I wondered why I hadn't managed to get any of the unlocks

Maybe add a flag for the first award unlocked for a captain that then triggers a toast saying
"Now that you have completed your first achievement, you must go immediately to the Hall of Records in a Palace in order to have them recorded. Otherwise nobody will believe you when, 24 years later, you rock up to a spice hall and drunkenly say 'Yeah, I did that too. When I furst started, I was like all of this wooshing and shootin and there wos screaming and I beat them. I beat them all'. The common response would be 'Suuuuuuuuuure you did. Drink your Vudka old man'"
