sparky1x - sorry to hear that. We've modified the game's description to be more clear.

Google is continuing to work to improve this -- they've recently extended the in-market display of information about IAP, including a warning before the user installs the application and a notification on the web page, right next to the install button. They're also interrogating the IAP catalog for the game and displaying something like this: In-app Products $0.99 - $4.99 per item We can simply add a list of IAP items, what they are and how much they cost to the store listing. We'll remove it once Google finishes their efforts on IAP visibility. Adding a list of IAP items to all game descriptions was exactly what I suggested in post #4 of this thread

I'd really respect developers that did that for all of their titles. And if the list of things you could buy for money was a meter long or more, we could be sure what sort of a game we were getting involved with. Laura A ubisoft game? (Still trying to figure out this forum post system )

Welcome to the forum!!

And if there is any question why most developers are NOT doing this IAP list in the store description.
Google will tell you not to do it and warn you that it will decrease your sales. Google has a plan for their IAP visibility stuff and they don't want developers getting ahead of them.

So Google is in collusion with the people who want to sell you things that you wouldn't actually buy if you knew the real cost? Gee, thanks Google. And how can they tell how many sales are being lost because the potential customer says 'IAP, not for me' ?

I don't think Google believes that the "I don't like to spend real money in app" crowd is profitable.
All Google is saying to developers is that getting ahead of the marketplace is ill advised.
Google's under a lot of pressure, and is putting more pressure on devs as a result.
I think they've done a great job recently improving the IAP UI and warnings for Google Play and Google Play Games, as well as the Android TV Market.
