On a couple of occasions I've been busy moving my player around the map and got to "stairs" and have not been able to go up them because I was in solo mode but thought I was in group mode. Or worse. I've been ambushed in solo mode with my team half way across the map. I realise this is a "stupid user" error and not a bug but I wonder if there might be a way to more visually highlight if in solo or group mode. Its not always obvious if moving long distance and where you click is off the screen from where your team is. Perhaps a thin colour border around screen when in group. Or instead perhaps the background of the selected users portrait a different colour. Another suggestion. Instead of blue highlight where you clicked to move, make it green when in group mode, blue in solo. I'm sure you would have even better ideas to prevent idiots like me thinking I'm moving a group ,when instead , I'm sending Vraes into an ambush by himself. It usually happens when I have mostly completed a level but gone back to camp... I scroll the screen over to where I want to move the player and click on the screen and don't notice three of the team left behind. Granted... I don't do it a lot... but it's annoying when I do. There is a subtle change to icon from group to solo but it is subtle and not noticeable unless you're specifically looking at/for it.

bobsoup - thanks for the post. I moved the thread into the Wish List for you -- no problem. The icon change to the Glom button was added to help address this issue. Some of your other suggestions, like changing the color of the waypoint icon that is used when moving are other good ways to reinforce the same idea. I've put it back on our list (as I had removed it after the Glom button upgrade) to look for other ways to make this more visible.

May be use the same circle animation that is used in combat when group is moved separately? Colors are great only as long as you are able to distinguish them.

What about forcing a double tap to move instead of a single tap. This would force the player to realize that something is different, and makes moving while not glommed a conscious effort.

That would be a nusiance if you were moving Tamilin to disarm traps, for example. What about having a number next to the glom button, like a 1 to represent one character moving? Or have an arrow indicating where your teammates are (a lot of FPSs and MMOs do this) at the edge of your screen? They could even have colors representing what character is off-screen where. Or a combination of all three: A little red marker with a 1 in it represents Vraes or Kincaid. A little green marker with a 2 in it represents Vincent or the Fire Mage. A little blue 3 represents Fyona/Kyera. An orange 4 represents Tamilin/Selen. Probably too much work for a small problem, but its a thought.

We won't be changing the click pattern. We'll work on something, but its relatively low priority atm (E4!!) and we'd want to make sure it is not just the color of the waypoint marker, as that is just as subtle as the Glom button imho.

Somehow I think a different color appearing at the place you tap would be more effective as that's where you are looking. The problem with the button is that it's subtle and you aren't looking at it - especially when you get auto unglommed in certain situations

Blitz - yeah, I think it sounds like it would be obviously, but this issue is in the moments when you are glazed out and moving without paying attention, so I think we need to be really obvious
