What do you all think of the new invasion system?
The ability to damage Xeno defenses permanently, increased effectiveness of bombard and advanced talents.

Cory Trese I don't entirely understand the invasion system. For instance Scout vs Bombard vs Invade. If I use scout first do I get a bonus to the invade action or is it just a light attack that dosen't use as much water fuel? What about bombard?

I think it is something like this:
Scout does some population damage Invade does more population damage at risk of damaging quality Bombard does even more population damage and a very high chance of quality damage.
The fuel usage of these are all the same, depending on the talent used to initiate them. Eg planetary invasion 1.
Although it may have changed in a recent update, with the changes to invasions.

New system makes my life difficult.
Toughest part is Bombardment used to be super effective if all you care is killing off the Quality, now it seems some of the damage went into defense. That means I need more transports to do the same trick. They need to come in 2 waves, wear out defenses first then attack.
I think the change is good since it makes the game last longer....

In order of likely hood of the ship taking damage ...
Full Invasion has +1 Defense/Quality and +2 Population hit bonuses. Bombard has +2 Defense/Quality bonuses and +2 Population hit bonuses. Scout Invasion has +1 Population hit bonuses.
