Ok, so I bought the character designer and it's great!
I love being able to trade off points for advantages elsewhere, and the fact that it's balanced to not be too overpowering. Now, combined with the ship designer I bought ages ago and the ability to write my own log entries, I can create some awesome characters with fun backgrounds!
My new favourite is the seriously underpowered 'Survivor', where he's the only human left from a shuttle which crashed landed on an unknown, unpopulated world. His stats are very low, chance of survival slim and his ship is battered and needs upgrading.
Great stuff! The combination of these three unique elements take ST to another level if you like true role playing
