Hacker review.

so I have been playing a hacker as it's the only class I have not played much. I planned to have basic combat skills and lvl up Clive zep to use as a bodyguard. This idea failed as Clive bought it early, I replaced him with a hund that has turned out to be an excellent guard.

I have learned this about hacking
- hacking jobs to plant viruses are easy work that generates little heat.
- collecting and selling paydata is not worth your time... It generates too much heat, pays pocket change and causes massive negative rep to the offended party.
- you NEED a matrix map, the one pinned at the top of this forum is great (but it's no longer 'complete' as the title claims).
- CK computers are overpriced and top end ones are pointless. I upgraded from a 'Calcultek quantum DX4' to a 'Yakashima galaxy-hyperZ' (a massive upgrade) and noticed no visible improvement in my hacking ease or heat reduction.
- Don't bother with phracking jobs, even with maxed out hacking skills you will fail 90% of them, leave them for the agent EX's out there with their electronics skill.

Well that's what I have learned.

- there is timer when you are hacking - if it ends you will gain big heat - so you must disconnect before that and start over again

- computer with bigger i/o and ram allows you to go deeper in matrix before you get (often) disconneced or couldnt exec commands
dx4 and hyperz are quite good computers and you must go through many many many host to notice that
