I think this one went in with the changes for hitting inventory and then not selecting something. It's relatively new, at any rate.
Sometimes, when you see the screen of monsters and your team in order, there is a tie in initiative. So maybe you and that drone and your Sniper buddy all have initiative of 15.
Before now it was absolutely the case that whatever order showed up on the screen was the order they will attack in. So if your name came above the drone's and your Sniper buddy came after, then the attack order was you, drone, buddy, no matter that you all tied in initiatve.
Now, sometimes, this order does not happen. Despite being listed in that order, you might get done, buddy, you.
I am not sure if this ever happens on the first attack phase of the round. I've only noticed it in phase 2 or later, as I am surprised when things are not in the order I expected. I am not sure if this is related to having tapped the inventory button by mistake, so not wanting something. I do this from time to time. I will check.
But it looks like you calculate the initiative-determined position more than once, now, and the second time can produce a different result than the first, which is the one displayed.
Here is hoping this bug report makes sense. I can add screenshots if this is not clear enough.

grävling - ok, I will take a look. This code hasn't changed in over 14 months though. The change regarding items has no impact on basic initiative calculation and the round-robin system. Unless you didn't mention in the bug report that you're getting this only after you open items and cancel?

Unless you didn't mention in the bug report that you're getting this only after you open items and cancel? I might be. It's not happening very often, and it is definitely not a 'I can do this on demand' sort of thing. But I have never seen it before, and since the last 2 updates, it has happened perhaps 5 times ...
