When buying or taking a new ship, you need to quit to the main menu and start your game again for the image to refresh to the new ship.
Similarly, if you toggle settings in game for having the stars in the background, you need to restart for image changes to take effect. It
It may be difficult to change this. But maybe a "notice" saying that you need to restart for image changes to take affect would be helpful.
