Got bitten by this again in a locked room with Wither, Necromancer and a bunch of skeletons it summon. To the south. Of course. :/

After playing some with pinning shot 5, I have to concur there's something fishy with horizontal right to left shooting.
Setup of encounters:
1....2 3....4
Monsters at position 1 and 3. If Selen stands in position 4 and shoots at monster 3 she ALWAYS hits monsters 1 and 3. If she stands in position 2 and shoots at 1 she ALWAYS hits only monster 1.
The number of . in diagram above does not seem to matter.
ALWAYS = 20 tests done with shoot, don't end turn but go to main menu, reload game, restart turn
More details: red hill depths, guards level 16, guard 3 already cursed with ash 5 and ps 5. Selen has ranged acc 29.

I have not done any systematic testing, but now that I am looking for it I am pretty sure I am seeing the same effect. Selen with pinning shot, when shooting directly east to west has not hit any targets south of the centerline. So far things look normal at other shooting angles.

Thanks all, we've put this back on the list to investigate, but very low priority atm.

While I would think it's pretty easy to set up in a testing arena, we could always send saved games if that helps.

Great new tip for players. Maybe we can work it into the tutorial? or the icon?
When shooting east or west your arrows must be getting blocked ... easy fix:
Move just a bit north or just a bit south. That way, your arrows are not blocked.

Cory Trese , to be clear: the bug is reported because the effect is not symmetrical. shooting from west to true east is ok. Shooting from east to true west is not. I'll go and add a bit to En1gma 's thread.

That way, your arrows are not blocked. Assuming you have this movement freedom. And it doesn't change the fact there's a bug in target selection.

I'm also having this issue. Just tagged every rat within range with both Ash 10 and PS 5, so they have pretty much no Dodge or armor whatsoever. Every angle of attack resulted in a hit except for true east to west.
I know this has been beaten to death, but I'm of the mind that there is indeed a bug here. I'll test more on my end, but there really isn't any reason something within the known AoE Templates would be exempt from targeting.
If this is indeed the intended behavior, I'll amend my Attack Vectors and Directional AoE Thread to reflect this, but it seems odd that it would only affect a single direction, and no others...

Just an update -- this issue is somewhere on the list and I am working on it as quickly as our priorities will allow.
I'm not locking this report but I'm also not reading it anymore.
