So first step in Ep3 I headed to the Storm bros. Took out the orc Lord to the SW first.
There were so many fairly weak creatures in that final battle my phone kept going to sleep- several times per orc move unless I kept tapping it. Found myself putting phone down alot and doing other things waiting for my turn.
I'm not sure the solution: fewer but tougher creatures perhaps? The Wolf Lord himself wasn't too tough. I accidentally took him out hurling lightening at the shaman. (I try and remove them first since they make more nasties)

May be it is just how you go with your group? I didn't notice anything like that. But I hardly take more than 3-4 NPC at a time, unless someone try to start breeding under my nose. Never had to tap tablet to prevent sleeping. Although, I've noticed higher acc drain in certain situations. Probably there's some unnecessary loops going on the inside.

bobsoup - what difficulty are you playing on? What level is your group? I am surprised you find them weak. anrdaemon - no, I don't think any unnecessary looping The sleeping behavior is based on hardware, OS settings, etc.

I hope you're right, but I've noticed that if I leave HoS with dialogue open, my acc go down in minutes.

@anrademon - sorry to hear that. The game engine is running while the game is open, so yes, it is doing stuff and using power.
Have you checked your devices detailed power charts to see if there are other apps that might be causing this?

I'm actually trying to find out, what's going on. But results so far are unconvincing. If that's not much of a hassle for you, can you please check two specific instances, and see if they are not doing anything particularly suspicious? NPC dialogue line is up. Dialogue choices list is up. Noticed that at the first camp with Nikolai, so, may be try somewhere there?

The orcs to the SW took a number of hits but wernt really able to do me any damage. There were just tonnes of them and phone kept going to sleep. As long as I healed every 3rd or 4th turn I was never really in any danger.
Fyona took damage a number of times fighting orcs to the north. The final battle against that warlord was tougher (with armored orcs) as I did have to watch my health whilst I fought. The red bar got low for her on a couple of occasions. Fighting the northern war Lord.
Battle with orcs in the North was both more enjoyable and challenging imo due to fewer but tougher enemies.
I'm only on normal mode (I plan to replay it on harder when I complete this).

27.
Its not that big of a deal really. Just wanted to give feedback. Compared to say, early battles I've encountered in CoD, or Warlord in North, I never felt in.danger there. I didn't really take much damage. Really slow long battle due to number of enemies, but phone kept sleeping during turns. I had to refill everyone's spirit several times and used a couple of tomes of sustainment to last the duration... so it was taxing in that respect.
I don't think I even got into melee with the wolf Lord, he just got in the splash of lightening spears... he was always hidden behind a wall of wolves and blue winter orc thingies. Maybe if he could have reached me and vice versa it would have been different experience?
Spider cult final battle was a good battle that had lots of troops. Probably because you encountered them a little at a time

bobsoup - thanks for the feedback. I think it may be indicative of a bug in the dungeon scaling code that I've been looking at this week. You should have been fighting an uphill battle here.
