So, I decided to start MNB over again as a CyberSword, thinking I would see it through to the end this time.
Anyways, I'm traveling through Dorcester, escorting a mark from the Black Rose to Commonwealth, when a pack of LosV thuggers come rolling through on a rampage. So I decide to interfere. I close in on a group of them and soon find myself surrounded. No worries. I take em out one by one and evade when they attack. Not a problem.
It occured to me though that in addition to the 'evade', 'block' and 'defend' combat options, there should be another option to 'counter' the attack. Using athletics and brawling, and if you had the AP, you could avoid the attack and immediatly counter it, stopping any other attacks that turn and doing some retaliatory damage to the attacker.

Chance - great idea, and something we've implemented into TA2, but won't be able to add to CK.

Thanks fallen. It's too bad it can't be added to CK. Maybe CK2? TA2 is sounding more and more like something I'm going to have to try when it comes out.

Chance - definitely a possibility depending on the combat engine in CK2.
