Sarcasm on. So i killed the troll past the north vault and needed to camp afterwards. Then i made a horrible blunder. I auto piloted and talked to the guy who wanted me to kill the troll. While i appreciate the bow he gave me that i imaginge has never done a sigle point of ice damage to anything in the history of the game, all i want from him is to take me back to the troll cave so i can clear it. Thats the least he can do right? Im only lv 8 so i considered restarting the game but decided against it. That would be only slighty to big a punishment for the terrible mistake i made. I did the same thing at the krete village in ep2 with a different party. PLEASE CHANGE THIS!... End of rant.

Any and all of the exp you could potentially obtain by clearing whole hunting cavern easily equals to the exp obtained from a single random encounted in the Bone Ridge.
Long story short: you will not gain anything significant from restarting the game, but will actually lose a big time for probably a 0.001% gain in overall exp. If not less, considering plans for endgame being around level 60.

Not going to restart. The krete village is much more punishing because i missed some high value chests. Just salty about how counterintuitive it is that there are quests you shouldn't finish.

Yes I'm sure Karjtan could some good reason to go back into the troll cave after the troll is dead.
"Hey, I saw some really cool rocks in there and stuff, and they looked like really old and like maybe they're from before the shattering and I really like looking at that kind of stuff, you know. So can you take us back up there? I'm sure the Ratkin won't overrun your city like today or anything."

Missed XP aren't a problem since the enemies level with your buddies. As long as you're not a completionist (as I am), you're fine. Even the high value chests are only of high value then, but not 5 or 10 levels later.
