I'm not sure if it has been suggested but I would like to see pay data buyers that buy data from their own faction. Now it could open new internal affairs missions but my idea is that they buy the data to keep it out of other factions hands. My suggestion is they pay more for the data and it doesn't ruin your rep with them. that way you choose between rep or money. Just an idea.

There was a good one, the chip you get from talking to the bartender in the Black Water Saloon. It used to be a BS internal security investigator who wanted BS data. I liked that. These days he wants KH data, I gather because too many people mailed the TB saying they had found a bug, or hated the idea of spying on your own faction, or something.

Just found one in a backroom. In the testing bin for Backroom contacts ... there are a pile of them there who are doing this. We're still hoping to re-introduce them into the wild. However, as grävling points out, and I had forgotten, this type of character was reported so many times as a bug that the few that were around out of the game. Specifically, because when you sell them paydata, you're Rep with their faction would plummet.

Such is the problem with being an external, independent internal affairs informant.

Nobody likes the rat squad. Especially when the rat doesn't even work for the same company.

That way, you can't kill allies and get a positive gain out of their pay data, but if enemies drop them by the dozen you can be be the guy trying to keep your employers or at least your Connectors from getting blackmailed. And all that would still fold in with your idea of "staying loyal for little immediate gain or sell out for all the money in the world" choices.

At this time, there are no internal data hounds. Perhaps in the future again, but for the time being they've been removed.
