Ok everybody. Maps decided. I've updated the first posts with some gameplay details and started an ongoing storytelling post. If everything goes well IRL I will start the first cycle later today after I get off from work.

You may all wish to create your own clan threads as well. I see En1gma has for Alta Mesa. I'll leave that up to you.

I would like to run the initial cycles fairly fast say one every 24-48 hrs? To get the game moving along. We'll slow it down once there is more to manage per cycle.

As a group the Faction council gets to debate empire policy. Individual factions will have control over their respective colonies' build order.

By the grace of Shulan we have jumped into the Rinze Arm within sublight range of 4 habitable systems. I am sending you the initial reports from our scanners.

 {if anyone can tell me a good way to screen cap game images and what size they should be edited to and how for these boards it would be much appreciated. I'm playing from my PC and apparently 1920 x 1080 doesn't fit...}

I need you the members of the Faction council to negotiate with each other to determine what system each clan will be settling their first colony in. There is precious little time as our hulls are on the verge of collapse. I ask you to put aside your hatreds and do what is best for the empire!

I'd like to get mok clan that high quality planet. An early high octane economy sounds like a sound decision. Thoughts people?

The Mobius Loop and WLC Rim are quite suitable, and would make fine locations for our first colonies. I would suggest sending the scout and Defenders out so that we may further explore the area in case there is one more prime system.

Moklumnue would also note that the WLC Rim has the lowest average mineral chance. With the higher quality, we would be in the best position to not only survive on a low mineral outcome but to provide an early engine for the economy of the entire empire.
