Templar commander CdrPlatypus, having arrived but lately your ship design and cartography skills are most impressive and appreciated. I look forward to seeing more. sheff, Ah, now that we have colonies in systems, we no longer need to eject criminals into the vacuum of space... I need to get back to some of people about this or mistakes will be made. In any event, i think your idea of recruiting criminals is excellent. They can be given options, fighting or... vacuum. We could deploy them in groups of 12, dirty dozens in you will. (PS. Hope I didn't join too late to get in on the holovid side of this, I think that has legs.)

**PRIORITY TRANSMISSION** FROM: TEMPLAR COMMAND TO: ALL FACTION REPRESENTATIVES Colonization Report:Moklumnue: Afcrone: Quality 19 / Mineral 14 {congrats! best roll of the cycle} Zenrin: Illgard Complex: Quality 12 / Mineral 14 Alta Mesa: Unionized Quixann: Quality 4 / Mineral 11 => SOLD! to the Independents! {Ouch. Please Pick another system to keep colony balance} Political Situation:So, Zenrin and Moklumnue decided to get into a solar war. Flipping our economy to -900 ish/turn...thx guys. But, Had the good sense to cut that crap out when the Nyktos and Sitdax decided to renew hostilities. War Report:Both the Sidtax and Nyktos Xeno have renewed hostilities and we are in a 3 front open warfare! We have purged one Xeno system and...killed another (Oopsie!... ntsheep how many footlongs did you launch?!) Technology Report:The Wasp-EX is preforming well. A couple have made it to the middle front and they pack a big sting! but they require a lot of refueling support. They burn through it while traveling in red sectors and require water-fuel for torp launching as well. Our Engineers believe we will need to research heavier cruisers for long campaigns into deep-space to deal with the fuel cost of extended travel. Research has been completed on Orbital Tradeways 2 and Starforges 2. Currently pursuing some political research to try and slap you toddlers into cooperating more. Although I beleive we will need to transition back to military research soon to deal with the Xeno threat. In particular our warbarges need better armor and shielding modules. The nyktos colonies are brutalizing them requiring extended repair after each assault. We have not seen them yet, but long distance traders report increased Bolish Xeno activity as well. Input on direction of the war effort, direction of empire infrastructure, and of course research will be greatly appreciated!

First thought would be system number Nine on the map (I think...) I'm going to my chambers, I'll be back in the morning.

Look, We'll stop the solar war, just have Clan Zenrin's representatives apologize for insulting my Spice Espresso. I offer it in friendship, and they spit it out. Really?
They apologize, and we can get back to regular buisness.
Great Templar, on more relevant matters, researching military tech would be an excellant idea.

Agreed. Assuming we have a sufficient base of system upgrades, a return to military research would be best.

Templar, how many xeno works remain in our second expansion area? Also will we be able to turn some of the other works to our use?

Couldn't help myself, I've got a ship full of TP and weinies. That big blue flag on that orbital Palace was asking for it

@rearick there are 3 systems left to be purged in the 2nd expansion zone. There are another 4 (not pictured in catography atm) to the north east as well. Out of the 3 purged Systems 2 are habitable, but of lowish quality. 8 and 9.

Any more weinies end up on our palace, and you are cut off from the good stuff mister. You'll have to go crawling back to Mesa for military rations or Zenrin for those dehyrated versions.

En1gma so you are interested in system haley (9) 5-17 / 5- 17 ? Sounds good it is on the outer rim of the prime zone. Do you confirm Alta Mesa's interest in settling this system? sheff Templar command advises waiting to colonize in the 2nd expansion zone until we have bulldozed the remaining three xeno colonies in the same area. Currently the LZ IS HOT! and trying to defend fledgling colonies when World KIller ships can spawn 4 squares away is difficult. Although the High Faction COuncil can always overrule Templar Command's advice

Templar CdrPlatypus maybe it would be a good idea,it'd give the fleet a local refueling point.

hissrad we have one In new Haven if you go to the Cartography thread you can see one alta mesa colony surrounded by ships. That was the one saving grace of the 2nd expansion zone debacle the xeno beat us to the punch but we snuck in one colony right after they did and got a good roll so for that war front we actually have a massive shipyard right on their front doorstep. If this wasn't the case I would most certainly agree that we would need a forward operating base
