Don't grow up young'un it's a trap..." **PRIORITY TRANSMISSION** COLONIZATION REPORTA big day has come we have colonized the last empty system in the Prime Cluster. Alta Mesa's new colony in the Haley system {Quality 10 / mineral 6} will soon provide us with another star forge to confront the Xeno menace. We have a foot hold in the Rinze Arm now. A tentative one with Xeno's on our doorstep, but non the less we have truly begun to establish a new home. Proposals to be worked on:Our first settled star cluster is to be called New Prime (cause I'm super inventive like that  ) Opening submissions to rename the first expansion zone. We need a better name for morale purposes. Also related to morale; now that we have some veteran soldiers what should the min requirements be for special recognition. AKA how many kills should a ship get before it can be given special recognition? //Housekeeping: Colony lists in cartography thread have been updated |

I say that Captital ships (Cruisers, Carriers and Transports) should be named at 5 XP.
As for the first Expansion zone, I vote either the Aurelian Cluster, or the Erandi Cluster.

Ship name number 2 Its one of ours Xeno captin : i dont reconise the configuration on that ship, whats its name. Xeno first mate : "its one of ours" sir Xeno captin : dont be silly ots not of our design,. Xeno first mate : *now sweeting* no sir its one of ours..... i mean the name is its ...... Thud thud thud Kaboom Score another kill up for the torp ship, its one of ours |

I've just returned from meetings with new settlers on several systems. Reintegrating them into the larger society is challenging at times--they've lived under such challenging conditions. Traveling on smaller ships, many have never seen or consumed Spice. The sudden introduction has led to problems of overuse and addiction.
And now I must leave to chase down rumors of my mothers arrival on Unionized Quixan, which is complicated by its conversion to independence. I had few hopes of seeing her again after she volunteered to transfer to a failing ship in order to make room for younger passengers on ours. We will see what truth there is in these rumors.
Regarding ship names I really like Benevolent. Along those lines we might also consider Redoubtable and Victory.
Perhaps the first expansion zone might simply be called the Eastern Corridor. Or, more poetically, the Pices Cluster, since it does somewhat take the shape of a fish with a tail to the east and a pointy head to the west. The second expansion zone might be called the Shield Cluster given its circular shape.

I feel that 10XP is a more prestigious achievement to earn an award such as a name. Unless they are going to get additional awards tacked onto the end.

**PRIORITY TRANSMISSION**
We have purged the Xenos from the 2nd expansion zone, but at great cost. 2 Systems were damaged to the point of being uninhabitable. Others lost a pint or 2 of quality. Xeno counter attacks have Taken 2 quality from Void Of Bantina and 1 quality from Theroborma-c. Our fleet needs to be modernized to deal with the ever clever Xeno (MIII Raptors and MIII Tank are no longer accurate enough to stop WK in one turn reliably). It is a time of celebration and sadness. Let us remember the fallen. But we must not relax. We must not let up. The Xeno are still ever present on our doorstep.
Side note we have another spy war between zenrin and alta mesa that is crushing our economy down to +300/turn at least its not negative this time. Research changed to go after the treaty to get rid of this.

We must all choose one of the four systems to take as our own. Whichever system is closest to the Xeno works for us, it matters not which (so long as it's not the 3 quality, as this will certainly become an Independent settlement.
