For some reason over just the last couple of weeks I have found myself doing really stupid things with alarmingly increasing frequency. Number one on the list is not re-buffing after camping or ending a fight. It happens almost one time out of 5 now! I keep finding myself getting my butt kicked in what should be an easy fight, only to notice that no one has any buffs. AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH......... Gotta group up and buff mid fight.... AGAIN!!!! I am also continually tapping the end turn icon when what I want to check a character's equipment profile in combat, forgetting of course that I have to switch modes first. I tend to give the baddies one or two free rounds each fight this way...... . So I'd like to officially request that an Idiot Difficulty level be added to the game which intuit's when I am about to do something phenomenally ill advised (like walk into a boss fight with my mage leading the way because my last action was to have him drink a pot and I forgot to rerotate my thief back to the head of the line) and advise me to reconsider. Perhaps by having my table's battery discharge itself through my hands! Damn, forget about the dark gods... I'm turning into my own worst enemy. Anyone else have any favorite ways to kill off a party fast? MarkC

I forget to buff from time to time. When I first started playing again after a 6 month break my #1 death cause was moving one person across a mostly completed map instead of my party. I almost never do this now... but for a while it was quite a problem. (Also, I lead with Selen and I've built her up enough that she can survive now until the rest of the party join her) With buffing... its not always that I forget after camping... sometimes I deliberately don't buff immediately (I've noticed some talk events use up a turn of buff duration, so I wait until leaving a town before buffing)... that's when I forget... when I plan on talking to someone first... forget to buff afterwards. I'd say on average I forget to buff 5 times an episode. By halfway in Ep2, if you walk into fight not buffed you're likely dead round 1 before you even get to move. So you get 3 deaths in a row waiting for a time you survive round 1 so you can buff.

Alas, I wish I could blame it on that. MarkC

Actually, I think the problem is I am becoming familiar with the game so I rush.

Yeah, the biggest problem is trying to play fast. Take a deep breath and play a little slower. It's more fun anyway

Play my speed. I like to pontificate the pixels - digest the dialog - savor the story line. I can speed read with the best of them, and do so when reading articles and boring work stuff, but I read good books very slowly because I just love nestling down between the text. That's how I play games too. If it's all flash and no depth, I will do the equivalent of speed reading - cursory play, no interest and no commitment. If it's a TB game, I take my time knowing I'm in for a treat. I have to drag that treat out for as long as I can because in life geme like these are few and far between. That said, GTA V for the PC is now available and I am debating whether to install it tonight knowing it will mean I will be off my phone for the next month or more

Take a break and try one of the other great TB games. It's what I do.

This is truly a game to be sipped, as one would with a fine cognac. Take your time, plan and move methodically, Really think every move through ahead of time, then act.
I too have been caught with my proverbial pants down, going into some pretty serious fights. Think Deathkin fights. In the storerooms.
