Hello. Recently I started a new game, keeping my old one to continue bullying the near-dead Xenos. It worked initially, however a few hours later the entire game crashed when I try to open the saved game. It crashed too when I try to open the older game. It crashed too when it was about to start a new game. So yeah, that's my bug. I'm running Android 4.2.2. Thanks for reading!

Sounds like an issue with the device, or the device's storage system.
I would try checking your device's SD and Storage for health, and reboot the device.
You have not told us much yet about your crash -- details would help me find out if it is on our end.
1) What device? 2) What version of Android? 3) What marketplace? Google Play / Amazon App Store? 4) What version of the game? 5) Any possible causes on the device -- anti-virus, custom ROM, etc 6) Other issues or glitches that indicate hardware problems?

Are you on a SAMSUNG SM-T215 by chance?

Wow, that was a fast reply!
1.) Yes! I'm on a SM-T215. 2.) Android 4.2.2 3.) Google Play. 4.) v2.2.7 5.) The game functioned fine 3 hours before the incident, and I have rebooted. It functioned fine with lesser storage space than I have now.

The error that is coming from the SAMSUNG SM-T215 is that the progress bar image is missing or corrupt.
Unfortunately, only one specific device (I assume that's you) is having the issue. It really looks like part of the APK is damaged or has been lost by the Android OS.
I actually have one of those devices, the Sprint edition, and it is working fine -- I downloaded 2.2.7 both Elite and Free from Google Play.
Since it looks like you are having the problem in the Elite edition, could you try downloading the Free edition and see if you can make a game there?

Yes, the free edition works.

If I reinstall the Elite version, will it retain my saved games?

If I reinstall the Elite version, will it retain my saved games? Not automatically. You can use Helium (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup&hl=en) to back it up, however.
