Hi everyone. I have recently started experimenting with a 3D people making program called MakeHuman. I thought I'd do some experiments, to see if the importer into Blender, (3D art and rendering package. Open Source), was any good. I tried the Trial version of Poser, because I wanted to create 3D objects to use within my 2D animation app, (Anime Studio Pro 9.2), but that was a big fail. So back to Blender, with MakeHuman. Both are free to download from there respective sites. All I've done here is create a quick MakeHuman Female, and use the provided mesh/textures. Basic Shadowbuffer lighting and Ambient Occlusion. (I really should get out more). The body texture looks a bit like Mars Corps high-end body armour. Going to work on some more objects. for a scene render, and make our girl more cyber.

Holy heck. I'm impressed. Like "Wow. Damn it, wow.". Any plans to make her after this cybergirl is done? Also, if you don't make the Knights once, I'd be getting angry. Naah, but it'd be a missed opportunity.

I'd like to check that out- and see if there's any provisions for armor.

dayan. At the moment, MakeHuman, is pretty limited in options. It's on version. 1.0.2, (stable). I'm using the nightly build, 1.1.0,(unstable). It has more option, but as the name suggests, it's the "cutting edge" version of MakeHuman, and it has it's quirks. Certain object files are missing, for clothing and body meshes. Plus there is no internal pose feature, (it's been disabled at present while it's updated). The only way to do poses or new clothing, is to export the MH files to Blender, and pose and modify there. It's a one way trip though, because there are no currently available export functions, from Blender back to MH. Worth a look though Dayan.

dayan. Nice armour, by the way. Looks rugged but manoeuvrable. Is this a new project?

This one was Ray Traced. Gives more accurate shadows.

If you can make me a Nishigumi Akira. I would appreciate it. Description: Red Katana with odd 'Tron' like lines of power roaming the blade. Multiple throwing knives on bandoliers or leg or arm. (nanobot poison on them) drake suit: Streamlined full environmental battle armor with scaled lattices (Thus the drake name) Somber colors: dark opaque green with browns. Even Urban Como-covering might work. Left hand its a Stun Glove with electrical discharges. Just throwing the idea out there. Its not an obligation. rabid

rabidbite. Does Nishigumi Akira look like this, Bunny Bud'? There's a couple of small issues around her nose and eyes, I need to fix, and a little adjustment at the corners of her mouth.
