In research tree, "Low orbit drop pods" indicate "Gun+Pilot". Shouldn't it be Invasion+Pilot?

anrdaemon, let's continue this discussion here. Was the experiment you mentioned previously with the "Ship-Gun Deck" or "Pilot-Gun Attack"? ("Ship-Gun Deck" seems more consistent with other weapon systems that pull one stat each from "Ship" and "Pilot".) fallen, I'd appreciate a quick post letting us know which "Ship" and which "Pilot" skill current improves invasion or something like that.

Invasion: Gunnery: With difference of +3 points in captain skills and 6 vs. 8 points in gunnery decks, the invasion design doing 0-2 damage per invasion, gunnery design - consistently 3-4, sometimes more. Though, not all of them is attributed to skills. I've just found another point of failure. Planetary Invasion 2 unlocks both "Heavy Mechanized Brigade" and "Assault Marine Brigade" Having same cost and weight, Assault Marine brigade is clearly superior.
