So I have a load of cleansing tomes. Tamilin and Kyera are cursed with a -5 move point curse. Tamilin reads ye tome, the curse logo is removed from the lists of active effects and as soon as I try to move them, they can't move but one square. I have tried several characters reading, and changing the order of when I read the tome. I shouldn't have to resort to using individual scrolls methinks.
