Planetary Invasion 2 unlocks both "Heavy Mechanized Brigade" and "Assault Marine Brigade" Having same cost and weight, Assault Marine brigade is clearly superior.  |

It seems to me, like "Marine" brigade was intended for boarding operations, which can be implied from its name.
