As far as I understand, the node menu is the only thing it does.

I have been so darn busy lately. I haven't been able to dedicate any time AT ALL to gaming.
Also, where was this game announced? It sort of tip-toed in and appeared out of nowhere.
My awareness of Trese Brother games was: Star Traders 2: Kickstarter success! Then, WHAM Battlefront alpha! Hugh? Wait? WTHell? Where did that come from?
This is just like that Pirate game that kicked me in the chin!
Either way, good job T. Brothers. Glad to see you can still surprise this old rabbit. ;-)

vintoks - edit: re-read your post. Just walk an engineer up next to the power node "box" thing and tap / click on it. The engineer immediately sets to work repairing it and can direct the flow of power for you. Ok this isn't working for me. Help? How exactly to you get the engineer to fix the node? WHere do I need him to click? DO I need him to use his capture skill on the node? How do I know if he is successful working on it? I thought my game possibly bugged, but I've done repeated replays, fresh save, still no way for the engineer to fix node. I've tried him using the skill on each tile of the node, no luck, I've tried having him try to use the skill on the surrounding orange tiles around the node, no luck. I've tried just double clicking on each side and part of the node, no luck. Clicking on the center of the node just keeps opening the node menu, I tried that too anyway, no luck... Just to clarify: 1) Are you talking about the Tactical Points, which exist in levels 2-4 and are big things that take up like 9 squares, or are you talking about the 1 square power nodes that only exist in level 3? 2) if you are talking about tactical points, what are you trying to do? Are you trying to capture it? At the moment there is no option to repair them. I think though that if you lose one you can recapture it again with an engineer.

Lost Tact Points can be recaptured immediately on the turn they are lost. If you fail to do so, the Xeno might capture it.

If we are talking about "power relay nodes" walk up to the node with an Engineer and tap directly on the node. A list of options will appear. Choose one and there you go

We definitely cannot support an option that let you change the colors of the baked menu graphics, but a general revision to the colors may be possible. Have to discuss and do some research on our end to see how far the color has to shift to be optimally visible to the average player. Thanks for the post! Cory Trese Love the new tile colour for the Xeno cruiser in tutorial Level 4; great shade of putrid green. The Xeno can easily be picked out now. Thanks

bobc - thanks for that feedback, we're glad its an improvement. I think the same thing can be said for the corpses - no one has mentioned them yet!

Ok this isn't working for me. Help? ? At the moment there is no option to repair them. I think though that if you lose one you can recapture it again with an engineer. This is very disheartening to me. From the tutorial and game script I had the impression that the engineer could repair tech (which would include the tact nodes) Will a way to heal the tact nodes be added later? If not I think a character in the tutorial or plot should definitely highlight this critical point. Maybe something about it being some crazy tech that engineers can understand the basics of but it being far to complex to repair and maintain. I dunno... Not being able to repair the tact node combined with the yellow perimeter around them that gives melee xenos an extra squire or two of attack range to destroy the tact nodes is really frustrating to me. There are scenarios where I would get the tact node online and then it goes down again the next turn. I really feel the engineer should be able to delay the tact node from going down in some way. A tech heal, a tech shield (make it invulnerable for 1 turn), or maybe doing something to make the yellow boarder around the tact nodes less effective so melee xenos don't get that 4 square attack range on the tact node? Heck maybe tact node HP should be tide to game difficulty where lesser difficulty lets it start out with more HP. It bothers me to just let it get destroyed and then recapture it again 1 turn later. I feel it should take longer to destroy AND should take longer to recapture. Also when it is destroyed don't you lose your tact upgrades you invested into it? This part doesn't seem very well explained yet. It seems to reset the SP generation. Another reason to protect them in my opinion. Without some kind of heal or protection for the tact node it seems to stifle the options you have to play out the level. At least for me. I've moved to other levels, but the whole way tact nodes currently work it bothers me and leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

If you start with a boosted squad, you can get the Repair Talent for your Engineer. Many of us have already mentioned the vulnerability of TP's on some levels and the TB's are working on it.

vintoks - sorry that you dislike the mechanic of capturing and defending Tact Points. I think as you keep playing, and get used to the perimeter requirements, and the interest of the xeno AIs, you'll get pretty good at managing to keep them defended. I can work on the tutorial text to be more clear about their fragility and to try to add more reinforcement of what is already there. If it still bugs you, I would highly recommend Repair Talent for your Engineer.
