Same Samsung S4
Android 4.4.2
version 0.0.7
Very first all-black screen appeared straight after i started the game. While playing the game though, it drops into desktop without warning. I can go straight back into the game and don't have to restart. The game itself doesn't crash - it just flicks me to desktop and keeps running in background.

Anything else running that might be switching away? Recently install any OS updates?
ST 4X and HoS do this too you as well?

Nope - nothing new installed, none of the other TB games do this although I haven't played HoS or ST4X any time in the last few weeks so there might have been an update that missed that. I'll do a phone restart and do some more testing on this.  |

I play on the S4 all the time, so I will keep an eye out for it.
Figuring this out would be awesome. I still haven't seen it, but it worries me.

Haven't replicated since restart. I'll start a few more games to see if it is just start for me or if it was an anomaly.

I haven't seen this on a Moto X gen2 running Android 5.0. Just a data point in case it helps.

I wonder if it is the back button somewhere, like you click it and somewhere bad button handling asks the game to hybernate to desktop a second or so later. Just trying to guess at possible causes.
