Second game.
Invictus dialogue is he will take overwatch position and come out guns blazing. Then he moves to the front.
I don't understand overwatch on the offensive
How does invictus do this?
If Dalan uses overwatch at the beginning, he can't move and Luthor has to go around him
Invictus does not fire in the overwatch box.
Am I missing something?

I second that. The dialogue is not really clear as how to make OW useful at offensive.

By placing the OW scanner on tiles at maximum range.
Be careful not to set two Templars on the same tiles, only one of them will fire.

Still not finding this clear. how does this help with an attack. Dosent overwatch wait for the enemy turn so it is a counterattack?

I am surprised that people are confused by this.
You can use OW to "push" into enemy territory. You can OW an area and then move your melee Templars into that area. The Soldier provides covering fire. Rinse, advance, repeat.

Well, I didn't know two soldiers couldn't cover the same ground, but I always have them fire at any nearby xeno then set up an OW square with the rest of their AP. Make sure that there are no Xenos in the box ou set because the soldier won't fire on them until they move- robbing you of a shot. I've noticed that periodically they will ignore individual xenos moving through a square though. Ignore one then fire upon the next, ect.

So you are baiting the xenos into the overwatch. It is still firing on the opponents turn

CdrPlatypus - yes, only on the enemies turn. But, but moving both the Soldier and the melee unit forward each turn, you can "press" into enemy territory. Thanks for the discussion all -- this will help me improve the dialog.

fallen I think the dialogue would be better as something like "I can cover your advance"

I really like the "I can cover your advance" idea.
Another question about OW : if I target an area where a Xeno is standing, do I shoot him if he's just attacking ? (I mean : the Xeno don't move but strike a soldier standing next to him)

beuns - only movement triggers OW attacks.
