Really need an abort mission option for when I know the battle is unwinnable and want to just retry, but don't want to spend the time to suicide my cpt to get to the retry option

Open the Captain and click Surrender. If you are on Ironman Nightmare, Surrender won't work  |

Oh I figured it was under the menu option; I'm dumb.
Of course in Ironman you can't retreat or surrender its dishonorable! But for testing its useful.

Actually I was going to comment on the Surrender button. I personally don't think it should be one of the general options under the captain - it makes it look like that is what he (or she) regularly does.
In TA, it was put in the options menu, so outside of the normal character interactions.

Aborting mission is not surrender its a tactical advance to the rear!

It should be in the same section as "Resume" "Options" "Library" "Surrender" "Quit" "Quit" should probably be "Main Menu" because someone will mistake Quit for Surrender |
