So often I tap on my screen while a talent is selected (especialy with OW) and I can't get back. So I would really like a "cancel action" button or a confiramtion asked while using an action that will end my turn.

I wonder what other options there are, in terms of things that would make this issue less of a problem for you.

I would suggest not leaving over watch auto selected on next turn

I would suggest not leaving over watch auto selected on next turn I will try that. This is a good point, even if other changes are required to really satisfy beuns question. Thanks CdrPlatypus for the great suggestion!

If you're going to deselect one talent, why not do it for all of the combat talents? If I had a pet peeve about Heroes, it was that tons of talents wouldn't deselect so I would end up miss playing.
If we are going to have up to 16 characters to deal with at once, then having these talents deselected would prevent a ton of mistakes. Yes it would take more time through an extra button press per character, but how often do you use the same exact talent every single turn? A fresh start for each character would make each and every action a deliberate one, which befits such a tactical game IMO.

I'm sure it is Games like this need to be as deliberate as possible, especially when Ironman gets thrown in the mix. I know this will improve my game significantly, just because I won't be worried about which talent carried over from the last turn... One less thing to worry about, and that makes me happy

I disagree with cancel all talents at begining of turn. As is helps reduce taps/clicks per turn, which is very nice imo on touch screen. With a mouse not such a big deal.
The standard combat talents like hit thing with sword, shoot target, or the engineers capture allopw you to target an empty square and move and then use the ability again on a legitimate target. This is something I've come to really appreciate in HOS and ST4X especially with ranged abilities where the range indicator stays on screen.
The reason to force deselect overwatch at the begining of each turn is it operates differently then the standard. It "casts" on any square. So you want to be able to re-position your solider without the player having to deselect overwatch to then move because as soon as overwatch is cast it sets ap/mp to 0.
In short my vote is only change overwatch.

CdrPlatypus - that solution is more in line with the HoS solution, in which certain talents operate with auto-cancel and others do not. This does, in the long run, save taps and clicks.

It would be nice to be able to reassign your overwatch area if you ge it wrong, like if you mean to move, or if your phone gets jostled and you touch the screen while trying to keep from dropping it. Or if you just fat-finger it.

Or if you just fat-finger it. Anything is possible but that will take a lot of work to add that. We'll see how often we hear about it.

I'll second it, Cory it has happened enough times to me, and it does suck when it means life or death...

I'll second it, Cory it has happened enough times to me, and it does suck when it means life or death... Ok ... feedback received. Looking at the flowchart for the UI, I actually cannot see any reason why tapping the map with an OW Templar doesn't just move the OW automatically. You cannot give them move orders and there aren't any other valid states once you have 0AP/0MP and are in OW.
