On my Scout, I'm trying to unequip the Armored Gauntlet so I can equip the Level 1 Accuracy Gear (+2 Ranged Accuracy). How do I unequip the Armored Gauntlet? I don't have enough gear points to equip both.

I don't think it's possible. Every templar having a melee weapon seems to be a requirement in the Templar order.

Templars will never unequip armor or weapon.

You can remove war gear by tapping / clicking the currently equipped gear.
The advantages from even the basic gauntlet are worth it.

And no Templar would go into battle without armor and two weapons.

And no Templar would go into battle without armor and two weapons. No Zendu fleet hanger team would let a Leviathan leave the maintenance bay without all the seals and systems working either.

jknut not worth it IMO. He needs the flexibility, and the shield just doesn't cut it. Yet.

Cory TreseHow many people and what equipment does it take to get a Templar suited and ready for battle?

jknut not worth it IMO. He needs the flexibility, and the shield just doesn't cut it. Yet. I'm doing my next run focusing more on his pistol - Xeno counter attacks are not my favorite. It's interesting how if you attack from 1 tile away with the pistol there isn't a counter attack.

It's interesting how if you attack from 1 tile away with the pistol there isn't a counter attack. Yeah, we ran the full rules simulator with counter attacks for all 1 Range attacks against Xeno. It was an interesting change. Do you think you would enjoy the game more if that was the rule?

Might be interesting. I don't like when Xeno counter attacks twice in a row. Or counter attacks the originator and squadmate next to me at the same time. I dislike counter attacks so much that I like to focus on ranged attacks.
Has there been any discussion about reducing the damage from counter attacks?

From what I'm seeing, most people are building melee Captains. I'm actually playing a heavily melee squad right now, Berserk, Sword-Captain and Soldiers who have Gauntlets instead of Grenades. Key is going after some Auto-Block, raising Strength and Warrior. The math on counter-attack seems really solid -- I don't think we are planning on making reductions to counter-attack frequency or damage. The overall difficulty -- and thus damage and hit rates -- is still being worked out, so you could very well end up with the reduced counter attack damage you're looking for on your difficulty of choice.

Yeah, when a skiterer comes from out of the black, moves next to your soldier and attacks doing a quarter of the soldier's HP as damage, then your soldier tries to punch it and it counter attacks twice and takes off half of the soldier's HP, it is kinda discouraging. Kinda feels like luck may be more important than tactics. You kinda say to yourself "WTF could I have done to avoid that?"
