Just lost a game that was going perfectly when two skitterlings ran in and two squares away from the first TP... And blew it up with claw attacks.
From two squares away. Like, a square between the Xeno and the actual TP edge.

There honestly aren't that many levels where you are defeated just for the TP being taken.

That's a bit confusing. I have yet to be attacked from two squares out, but Skitterlings can so long as its a TP? Even as theyre using claws and teeth to somehow attack at a distance? That should probably be mentioned in game if you're going to keep that system. Just an Alpha note.

Any Xeno that attacks a Tactical Point does so using a visual representation that is intended to indicate a ranged energy wave attack. Hopefully you are seeing the energy wave and hearing the ranged attack queue sound?
Changing this wasn't on the list for Phase 2, but I can start looking at what type of AI adjustments would have to be made to accommodate a single tile range for their attacks.
The results might end up being too tight in terms of tile tolerances to get good, predictable damage application rates. I will run some tests and gather more feedback.

Thanks for the alpha note =) I saw the energy wave, but I've never had a Xeno attack from 2 squares out before. A note saying that they are capable of damaging TP electronics with screams or something before letting us loose on lvl 2 would help make that clearer. And sorry if I sounded cross, I was convinced I was gonna pass this time.

@officergeniuos - please recheck the dialog as your Templars approach the TP - they say this exact thing
