I remember writing about this before, but I thought I would start a new thread for P2. My engineer was taking the first TP and a Scitter was next to me. I thought to myself: "I should shoot him and not risk the counter attack, but... Grapple is only 1 AP..." I used Grapple and the Engineer got counter attacked twice!!! My engineer lost 1/2 his hit points (50)... Crap! It makes me feel like I just wasted 10 minutes getting to this for a really bad dice roll. Maybe I'm being a cry baby, but I was somewhat depressed after that counter attack. Suggestions: 1) limit counter attack to 1 attack (no doubles) with perhaps reduced damage 2) display probability stats per previous suggestion Suggestion: Optional Attack Statistics box that opens up when you select a talent and then select the enemy. The Attack Statistics box would have base probability to hit and damage range with all the buff/debuff calculations to show final numbers. This would be similar to XCOM. For this who like probabilities/stats this box would be an option that could be turned on/off.

Thanks for the feedback, this is still an area where we are considering changes, but have decided not to change the existing rules. A scittering might make 2 counter attacks at this time, definitely.
As there is on "select phase" for Talents (it just fires when you tap / click) I am not sure we can plan to add an attack statistics box. We are planning on improving the information available on a monster when you bring up their details in the next phase.

My Scout just tried to use Grapple on a Hunter while the Engineer was taking the 2nd TP. The Hunter counter attacked the Scout for 30 damage and the Engineer (next to the Scout) for 56 damage (Engineer died). I'm wondering if anyone else is using melee. It seems like a very poor option compared to ranged attack.
Suggestion: 3) Xeno counter attack can only attack the Templar originating the attack... not additional adjacent Templars
Unrelated, what is Karma next to someone's name in this forum?

jknut - Karma is generated by other users who click Exalt or Smite next to your name. It can be read as generally "appreciation from the community". Thx for more feedback for counterattack, we'll keep looking at it. I would not suggest using Grapple with Templars who have 0% training, new gear, or Talent in melee. That is definitely last-ditch desperate. You have a giant sniper rifle for a reason

Strongly NOT suggest it. You'll waste 10 minutes on a bad tactical decision.
