Two things I noticed when I got to attack a fully developed system (Bollish lvl 50 in Garden Hard) with Zero (0) defense. Game ver 2.3.1 - my transports still take as much damage as a Defense 20+ planet. - My hits damage X defense. There is no defense the whole time so what am I hitting? ?

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into it.
Level 50 is pretty high -- and Hard is pretty hard. Have you considered a lower difficulty setting?
When you say "still take as much damage" how are you calculating that? Since damage is semi-randomized, smoothed, averaged and computed based on AI type ... are you thinking about that damage vs. comparable worlds, AI types and so on?
I personally have trouble making judgement calls without a suite of analytic tools and a 100,000 turn simulator run ... so we'll have to wait till morning for the output on Bollish Lvl 50 Defense 1 to 20 attack curves. I'll post back here with the results, conclusive or otherwise!

I have been fighting the Bollish aka Bullish for few game years with my endless stream of transports. I know the average damages I take when I attack one of the those 10-20+s defense systems. However I am seeing the same thing when I attack a defenseless system. I am using the exact design from Odomi in this thread: startradersrpg.proboards.com/post/131510/threadTry test it like this by rigging your simulator: - 2 systems: Same population and quality. Same radiation. 1 with defense of 20 and the other one at 0. - Attack both with the same amount of transports doing exactly the same attack mode.

Yeah --- that is how we test. And then repeat it 100,000 times, pull all the results and make a chart / average table. Having good results myself using the designs from odomi
