Seeing as we have a discussion thread for Soldier builds, I figured we might as well have a thread discussing Scouts!
I have two Scout Builds so far. I have my Strength/Gunnery/Focus centered Sniper, using the Sniper Rifles to deadly effect at long range, buffed with Field of Focus, and aiming for grits with Headshot. I load them out with Rifle, +Acc Wargear, then Armor.
My Skirmishers are shorter range fighters, true Scouts. They have Needler weapons and are built around Quickness, and Stealth. I give them heavier Armor and Gauntlets for protection should their Stealth fail them. They run with Crippling Shots to weaken the enemy while in direct combat, then Overdrive to let them run behind enemy lines, as well as Sensorkit Scan to learn as much as I can about the terrain.

My stealth scout made short work of Drop Shaft in 6 turns out of 10 goal on Hard. It was quite fun to have her slip around and behind all the enemies.
I just loaded her up with extra MP talent/gear and high stealth.

I've been using my scouts and fast auxiliaries, built for speed and reaction. In order to play around with all possible weapons, I've got one skilled for quickness+gunnery using the needle gun and one using Strength+warrior/gunnery and using the long arms. I love both of them, but my strength build scout has stood out as being particularly helpful in defense. It's good to have debuffs and strong melee on one Templar as he is able to act as a force multiplier for my short-range defense soldier build.
Either way, scout seems to be a lot of fun. Definitely a class that works well in concert with other Templars.

Which Stealth Buff do you use? I have Overdrive I and Null Field 3 on a level 6 Scout. The Scout also has the Swift Kit - so a couple extra MP helps get around :-)

Detonation Site was tough... luckily, my Stealth Scout, Engineer, and LL Soldier made their way down to the 2nd TP. After capturing the 2nd TP, the Engineer and LL Soldier made their way back to the rest of the squad up at the first TP. The Stealth Scout went on her own all the way down to the switch and back using Null Field 2 and Overdrive 2 and Swift Kit (total of +3 MP) ... overheating, nerve wracking, and all by herself. She made it back to the extraction alive but needs some serious first aid!

I usually send my Captain instead of a Scout.
I think anyone with 10 MP should handle it ok

I'm not doing things much differently than others. The two builds I have right now are Sniper and Speed-Runner. The sniper uses Headshot and also the swift kit to help him be the master of the battlefield. When I've got 2-4 groups holding different alleys he will be floating between them helping whoever has the biggest load at the moment and catching anything that slips through. I haven't gotten him up to the Sniper Rifle yet because of other gear load. He'll be there soon.
Speed-Runner is currently rocking Overdrive 3 and Crippling 3 plus the swift kit. I think his next point will go into Null Field. I've been having trouble with him getting too far behind enemy lines and getting overheated such that he can't rebuff. That pretty much spells his doom. I feel like he needs more levels to really come into his own and maybe I should have gone for Null Field sooner instead of crippling. We'll see.

My Lvl8 Stealth Scout has Overdrive 3, Null Field 2, Crippling 1 and is using the Needle Cannon. On Skills, I've got Gunnery at 5 and Stealth at 9. Having MP at 10-11 sure covers a lot of ground. This build only seems helpful when you need someone solo running to flip the switch. The overheating is a big problem, so I'm wondering how it will play out in the real game. My Lvl8 Sniper has Stealth OP MK6 and Crippling 7 to slow everyone down at a distance so Overwatch can finish them off. I also use the Crippling on Xenos that I know are going to make it to the next round to reduce their AP.
