I just purged and colonized my third xeno world (level 39 Sidtax ) in my ongoing Hard game (the second since updating to v2.3.3), and game named it, not so originally, "Xeno System". Same as the second one (also purged and colonized since updating to v2.3.3). And the first one (purged and colonized playing v2.3.1). In between the first and second purged worlds, I colonized the last two virgin worlds and the game named them normally. But I have 7 more Sidtax, and 27 Jyeeta systems left to purge and if they're all named the same, colony management will become.... ....... interesting. Just rename the worlds. The game runs out of names eventually.

Just rename the worlds. The game runs out of names eventually. I'd forgotten that was possible! Thanks again Cory Trese!

Just rename the worlds. The game runs out of names eventually. Add a name generator?

I usually name them with the xeno name who previously occupied them follow by an alphabet. eg. Jyeeta A, Jyeeta B, etc. At least I have a quick idea of where they are afterwards.

Dang, I never thought of that, wonderful idea. To expand on it, I think I'll create a code to help me know how far a given system is from the front(s). That'd be a huge help for quick ship queuing.

One of my goals in coming here today was to report this same issue. I've seen it a few times and wanted to verify before coming here. Conquer a Xeno planet that has a unique name. The name gets changed to "Xeno System". No, there's definitely a bug in here. Sure, we can rename it. But there's nothing wrong with just leaving the original name like any unpopulated world that gets colonized. If the planets aren't randomly generated and there are a finite number of planets in each map, how can it run out of names?
