I have found 2 out of the three switches. Where is the last one? I found the one farthest east and the one farthest south......

Try center-west. A little south of center.

I'm going to be honest, I just found another cavern north of the one I am in. Are there 3 entrances to this area? If so, then that means my perception of what the center actually is might be a little off.

You know the three iron gates that you need to open? I discovered everything south of that. There is an area to the east of it which I am a little curious about. Where would the center be, considering this be area kind of offsets my perspective a little...

@confused - the three iron gates are full NW.
There is one switch directly south of the gates in man-made walls area. If you go east of that switch, you can find an entrance heading south into some natural cavern walls. A second switch is down that way (keep going!). The third switch is dead east of the 3 iron gates - pretty far.

My usual solution to any such issues: Do not touch anything unless you have no other choice.
In case of switches, I've explored everything available first, before touching any of them.
