Considering gameplay what are your thoughts on the two types of ammo? Piercer vs damage.

I'm testing a HL (25% piercing) with the 6% piercing ammo tonight. Since we're testing balance, I'm mostly ignoring objectives and killing as many Xeno as possible. I'll let you know my thoughts on it once I get used to them.
Can you possibly describe the different types in the Library if you haven't already?

En1gma - I'd suggest looking at the Penetration and Deflection rules in the Library.
