Noticed that in crew combat 2 (crew) upgrade it lists "exploration and Eva". Can anyone shed some light on what this is/does?

It gives a bonus to exploration rolls so you are more likely to get a positive result of exploration

None of the crews. Mention if they have Eva in ship designer or not. Only mentioned in the tech tree. Not sure if it gives a bonus or just allows you to explore. |

What is Eva?
Also, I believe experience improves both critical and exploration. If your Templar Explorer racks up experience for exploration, it has a better chance to critical in battle. Conversely, experience gained in battle improves the chance of success in exploration.
It may be that whether the bonus comes from experience or an upgrade, it affects both.

Until a Trese comes along to say otherwise, my guess is that Eva is part of exploration because of the history of the term. The term Extravehicular Activities was invented by NASA in the early 60's and covers both spacewalks and moonwalks. Would be nice to do some exploring/Eva of asteroids for like 1 rp gain or some small bonus.

Expanding on that idea, you might get cp (minerals to use in production) or $ (sell what was found).
